Toad Tuning

Each year people request to be included in the call list for the toad tuning at the bog. This is a yearly event that occurs the first night in the spring that it is 60 degrees at night. That night the toads come out of the woods and return to the place where they were born and sing to find a mate. The bogs toads are famous for the loudness of their singing. Some years the event is a spectacle and a cocophany. Other years the weather doesn't cooperate and it is something that you barely notice.

This page captures the successful Toad Tuning events at the bog.

2007 - the weather turned cold and the Toads didn't come out for tuning this year.
