Skunk Cabbage Walk - Skunk Cabbage is the first wildflower to bloom in Ohio and Cedar Bog is the best place to see this unique plant. It uses thermogenics to melt the snow and ice around it to emerge in wetlands around the state. Cedar Bog Assoc. and Ohio Historical Society members admitted free. General admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students.

Toad Trilling - Toads determine the date for this event based on the correct temperature to trill for mates. There is very little advance notice for this event. Call to register for phone tree notice for the same or next day for this event. Phone 937-484-3744 or 800-860-0147.
CBA and OHS members free. General admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students.

April 24

10am-6pm

Earth Day Art Show - Join us to celebrate Earth Day with a nature-focused art show. See artists with unique wares, earth friendly information and the beginning of the blooming season at Cedar Bog. Admission to show is free, admission to boardwalk $4 adults, $3 students.

April 25

1pm-3pm

Terry Jaworski Memorial Walk - A leisurely stroll along the boardwalk with pauses at the various platforms to share our favorite memories of long-time and much missed Cedar Bog manager Terry Jaworski.

May 8

1pm-3pm

Spring Bloomers Walk - A guided tour of the boardwalk focusing on the Spring blooms of Cedar Bog. Excellent opportunity for your own photos of a variety of blooming flora. CBA and OHS members free, general admission is $4 for adults, $3 for students. Contact Cedar Bog 937-484-3744 or 800-860-0147 for more information.

May 22

Orchids, orchids, orchids - Watch the website for blooming notice. Mother Nature determines the beginning of this glorious orchid season and Cedar Bog has 17 varieties to see. Phone 937-484-3744 or 800-860-0147 for more information in season.

June 5

Orchid Walk - Join us for a walk through the fen to see the Showy Lady's Slippers, Grass Pink Orchids and the many other beautiful bloomers. This guided tour is one you won't want to miss. June 12

7pm-9pm

Summer Solstice - Fund Raising Event If you enjoy Boo-in-the-Bog, you will be delighted with this evening event just before the summer solstice. Watch the newsletter and the website for additional information on activities. Admission $5 for adult $4 student; CBA and OHS members $4 adult $3 student.

September 18

1pm-3pm

Foliage Walk - This leisurely stroll introduces the beginnings of fall season plants along with some of the lingering late summer offerings. Call 937-484-3744, 800-860-0147 or check the web www.cedarbog.org for additional information. Admission $4 adults, $3 students, CBA and OHS members admitted at no charge.

October 15 & 16

7pm-9pm

Boo in the Bog - Fund Raising Event. This non-scary night walk includes learning stations set up on the boardwalk. Each station focuses on a nocturnal inhabitant of the Bog. Face painting, storytelling around the campfire, and other activities. Dress for cold weather. Reservations are required. Call 937-484-3744 or 800-860-0147 to book your tour time. Admission is $5 adults and $4 children with CBA and OHS members discounted to $4 adults, $3 children.
